About Us

Coleman Adult Day Services, formerly known as Portage Area Senior Services (PASS) evolved from a 1966                 conference to define and meet the needs of older adults and adults with special care needs in the Portage County community. The Adult Day program provides therapeutic activities, culturally diverse stimulating programs and social interaction. Our goal is for our clients to maintain the highest level of independence while experiencing optimum quality of life.

A new state-of-the art facility opened in 2003 in Ravenna, Ohio, that enables the staff to implement a concurrent programming model that is different than other adult day care and senior centers. Activity development and implementation is designed to address the diverse and changing needs, interests and expectations of individuals, while maximizing participation and choice.

Coleman Adult Day Services is a program of Coleman Professional Services, a nationally recognized not-for-profit provider of behavioral health and rehabilitation programs that improve the lives of individuals, families and businesses in Northeast Ohio. The company relies on an enterprise business model to diversify its funding. Coleman’s foundation and three enterprise companies produce more than 25 percent of the company’s funding for its award-winning programs.
